On September 30th, 2025, a powerful 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck the Philippines causing widespread devastation. At least 70 lives were tragically lost in the aftermath. The earthquake came barely more than a week after the country experienced back-to-back typhoons which killed more than 20 people. Many communities faced loss and grief as well as their homes destroyed by the massive quake. Operation Blessing brought help and hope to the hurting people of the Philippines, just as we have responded to disasters around the world. Our teams delivered emergency relief—hot meals, safe water, hygiene kits, medical supplies, and even psychological first aid—to those in desperate need.
